Let the catch-up begin...

Now, remember, this blog is really my online journaling experiment for 2010, so there are a lot of pix here, but most of them will only mean something to me, so there ya go.

Friday's roadtrip from NW AR to SW AR included driving over two of the rivers that flash flooded, leaving at least 20 dead, and as of this writing, unsure if there's been a full accounting and recovery of all those lost in the flooding...very sad.

Two of these gals, Julie on the left and Nita in red on the right were my 5th grade classmates and good friends ~ LeAnn, next to Nita, arrived at Horatio in 7th grade, 2 years after my departure.  My "replacement", and a fine one at that :)

The house my folks built and we lived in for 6 years...it has fallen into quite a bit of disrepair, but still lives on shiny and new in my memory and heart...lots of great childhood memories here...

Back in Everton, on the way to a family potluck across the pasture, found 6 calves had escaped and were on the wrong side of the fence...

So they got herded back to the pasture...

And were happily reunited with their herd!

On the way to the airport on Monday, stopped at Thorncrown Chapel in the Ozarks, designed and built by a protoge' of Frank Lloyd Wright.

After a stop for lunch at Sonic, got to the airport at 1:30 - Nita waited for a while with me, then we sadly parted ways with promises for it to not take another 33 years for us to get together again!
