Views from 1st Day of "Spring Ahead"

My personal view of "Spring Ahead" -- yuk.  I have many friends who have been turning themselves inside out in anticipation of that "extra" hour in the evening...I am not one of them.  Neither is the DH.  We're hitting the sack around 9pm, so the lighter longer has a negative impact on our nest...I need complete dark to sleep ~ I think I'm part bat.

Ah well, it is what it is.  Seems to me at this point in our history, Daylight Savings is unnecessary ~ don't know why we can't stay at the same time all year round -- doesn't AZ do that?  Go, AZ.

ANYway, here are some shots from the day:

We stopped by a landscaping place to price pavers for the backyard, and their cherry trees were spectactular.  Here's the slate we're contemplating for backyard pathways and around a firepit:

Chris & David of Olympic Lawn & Garden brought by the Backyard Plan they've designed for us and wow!  it looks fabulous!!  Expensive, but fabulous.  So, there will be much sweat equity on our part, and the enlisting of friend labor payable in IOUs, pizza and beer in order to save money.  But when we FINALLY get done, it will be SpecTACular.  Cuz, their design is that good.
