Scenes from my 45th bday...and the wild weather continues

Today I hit the 45 yr mark - noteable and somewhat somber in that my mom was 45 when she was diagnosed with and passed away from colon cancer.  But I'm here and cancer-free, and owe that to her and taking preventative measures in her honor...and without further ado, some scenes from the day...

My DH was a dear and sent me flowers and a balloon at work :)

The "glove balloon" was a "gift" from the crew on the Melissa Ann Passenger Ferry - that impulsive bunch of sillies :) 

 

 

 

And to finish off the day, I came home to chocolate in abundance and champagne...Best. Hubby. EVAH :) 



While birthdaying away at my desk, wild scenes were blowing by outside the office windows.

Thankfully, the boat ride home was NOT as bouncy as last week's - and thus, my 45th birthday passed and was thoroughly enjoyed :)
