This las Saturday dawned dry but overcast, and about mid-morning, happened to catch the unusual sight of two eagles this close in a neighboring tree...very cool! And there I am in the backyard in my jammies and slippers, snapping pix with my neighbor across the fence, who was also shuttering away...she had the good sense to get dressed first...
Then one of them decided it was too crowded and flew over to a different tree...funny!
DH and I caught the 12:30 ferry to W. Seattle and arrived downtown to meet our friends Tracy and Steve at A Contemporary Theatre for the annual production of A Christmas Carol. We see this every other year, but it was Tracy and Steve's first time, and they of course loved it :)
Here we all are, anxious for the play to begin :)
The ACT Theater is set up "in the round", with seating circling the stage. There is simply not a bad seat in the house. And as usual, the Fezziwigs made us laugh, and Tiny Tim brought a tear to our eyes!

After the play, we walked over the Christmas Tree display at the Fairmont, where Tracy discovered to her chagrin that she had made Santa's "Naughty" list!

After Christmas trees, we headed to Il Fornio at Pacific Place Mall for dinner, which was quite delicious. Good food, good wine, and plenty of good conversation and laughter! We parted ways about 6:30pm to head home. DH was a stellar driver in the pouring Pineapple Express Rain, which quite gummed up traffic on I-5 through Tacoma, taking us 2 hours to get home. All in all, notwithstanding, a very fun day!
Sunday, we just hung out at home. DH was on the roof in the driving rain trying to find the source of a leak...sadly, it appears we have water seepage through the location our fireplace used to be and where our desk now resides. Not through the walls, but through the floorboards, which are starting to warp and buckle at the seams. It's very irritating, not only for the forthcoming cost to fix, but also the hassle.
After coming in from sealing the old chimney flue up as tight as he could, DH spent the afternoon working on moving files from our old computer to the new, and I tried to lay low, thanks to an unfortunate migraine that came on the evening before. So I hung out on the couch medicated and watched a Harry Potter marathon. Good times :) Feeling much better today!
